This Quart of Sanding Resin is polyester resin. Polyester resin is the industry standard for making surfboards and has been for years. Most surfboards have polyurethane foam cores and need to be glassed and repaired with polyester resin. Do not use polyester resin when glassing and repairing surfboards with EPS foam cores! It will melt the foam core so be careful! Sanding resin is meant to be applied on top of laminating resin. Sanding resin will harden and is able to be sanded. Hence the name, sanding resin. This is the second and final layer of resin unless you'd like to apply a layer of gloss resin for a shiny gloss coat. A quart is enough to do plenty of repairs and then some!
